These two tied the knot almost a year ago, but with a brand new baby at our house at that point, this post never made its way into the world. Thought this might be a nice time to share. 🙂
Monty and Kim chose gorgeous watermelon and tangerine hues for their late summer wedding, and we used those to create a modern + elegant design suite.
We designed a rehearsal dinner invitation with a Cincinnati skyline silhouette. The card style combined an invitation/directions card (for guests to keep), and a pre-addressed, pre-stamped, response postcard with dinner choices. Perforation allowed for clean and easy separation of the cards, and the postcard feature saved postage and extra envelope costs. A fun and unique twist on a standard invitation.
Monty and Kim (and their moms) treated their out-of-town guests with welcome baskets, given to each guest at check-in. We designed labels for their cinnamon-roasted almonds, mints, & bottled water, and designed a tabbed welcome booklet with a weekend itinerary, a list of their favorite restaurants, shops, and attractions in the area, and a map with directions to rehearsal, ceremony, and reception locations.
Guests were welcomed to the ceremony with a square program which featured a watermelon vellum cover, sewn binding, and custom tag.
At the reception, placecards were hung on ribbon boards wrapped in soft watermelon corduroy (yum), directing guests to their tables.
Each table was labeled with hand-bound books, which doubled as guest books for each table. We prepared a ribbon-wrapped album for the couple to compile the pages from all of the individual guest books, after the reception.
Monty and Kim thanked their guests with a pack of minty gum, wrapped in a custom label. Being avid horseracing fans, Monty and Kim let guests know that a donation had been made in their name to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation to help support the care of racehorses during and after their career on the track. Love, love, love giving favors.
These two were such a treat to design with. Happy 1st Anniversary, Monty & Kim!
